Dhigu Tila - Ari Atoll
The dive site
Dhigu Tila - Ari Atoll at a glance
The reef is located slightly north of Bathala and is approximately 360–400 meters long. The south side features several overhangs with beautiful “swim-throughs.” The reef top drops from about 5 meters to over 30 meters. Several coral blocks are scattered across the sandy bottom. On the eastern side, somewhat larger blocks lie just offshore.
Since the site is located in a channel, sightings of large fish such as gray and whitetip reef sharks, tuna, barracuda, and eagle rays are not uncommon. But the schools of fusiliers are also quite impressive.
