Embudhoo Express - South Male Atoll

The entire Embudhoo Channel is a protected nature reserve. The south side offers an extremely exciting 2-kilometer drift dive, better known as the “Embudhoo Express.” When the current is flowing in, you ride this express train at full speed—THE diving experience of a lifetime! The extreme current conditions attract a variety of large fish from the open ocean, including many gray reef sharks, eagle rays, large mackerel, tuna, and sometimes even mobula rays. While drifting into the channel, you’ll pass many beautiful overhangs and small caves at depths between 30 and 14 meters, which are home to various groupers. Unfortunately, depending on the strength of the current, this dive is only suitable for experienced divers.
