Hanahanaa Giri - Laamu Atoll

The site is located in the inner atoll, directly in front of a channel between the islands of Maamendhoo and Hulumeedhoo, and is marked by a navigational buoy. Several overhangs can be dived in the southwest, while the reef (approx. 100 x 40 m), with long, finger-like sandy areas, juts out into the open water in several places. It is easy to dive and has virtually no current. The entire scene is fascinating and also features magnificent coral formations in many places. The fauna is typical of a thila and offers plenty of variety in the macro realm.
