Hin Pusa / Elephant Head Rock at a glance

Hin Pusa is also known as “Elephant Head Rock” and is located about 1.5 km southwest of Ko Similan and just under 3 km north of Ko Payu.

“Elephant Head Rock” is the largest and tallest rock protruding from the water in the Similan Islands. The dive site gets its name from the rocks jutting out of the water, which resemble an elephant’s forehead and tusks.

Around the reef, the sandy bottom is about 10 meters deep. The sandy bottom, which slopes gently to over 30 meters, is dotted with numerous boulders. With its many channels, overhangs, caves, passages, and enormous biodiversity, this dive site is one of the highlights of the Similan Islands
.
The current here can range from moderate to strong.
