Kandooma Thila - South Male Atoll

At about 300 meters long, Kandooma Thila is one of the most exciting dive sites in South Male Atoll. The reef is shaped like a teardrop and is located in the middle of a channel leading to the outer edge of the atoll. The current here can be extremely strong! The reef top begins at a depth of about 16–20 meters, so you’ll need to descend quickly to observe the gray reef sharks, eagle rays, tuna, barracuda, and sometimes manta rays swimming by in formation. This dive site is reserved exclusively for experienced divers!
