Koh Bida Nok

The dive site

Koh Bida Nok at a glance

"Kohh" means "island" in German. Koh Bida Nok is located south of Phi Phi Island. Phi Phi Island became famous thanks to the movie "The Beach.
"
The dive usually starts as a one-way dive in the north. Depending on the time of day—that is, the sun’s position—you’ll dive along the east or west side of the beautifully overgrown and rugged reef wall all the way to the southern end. Along the way, it’s always worth scanning the sandy bottom for leopard sharks or stingrays. If you’re very lucky, you might even spot a gray reef shark. Sometimes it’s worth it even for experienced divers to dive with a guide, since the guides know exactly where to find the seahorses and ghost pipefish, which tend to stay in the same areas.
