Koh Similan / Monkey Face Rock

The dive site

Koh Similan / Monkey Face Rock at a glance

Monkey Face Rock is the southernmost, deepest, and most interesting—but also the most challenging—dive site on Koh Similan.

The sloping sandy bottom around the reef descends gradually from 10 meters at the reef to over 40 meters further out. The sandy bottom is dotted with many large and small coral boulders covered in beautiful marine life; with its openings, overhangs, caves, and channels, the entire site feels like an underwater playground. There’s something to discover everywhere. The sandy bottom is a great spot to see stingrays and leopard sharks.
