Kudarah Thila - Ari Atoll
The dive site
Kudarah Thila - Ari Atoll at a glance
Kudarah Thila is only about 80 meters long but is certainly one of the most beautiful dive sites in South Ari Atoll. The reef begins at a depth of 14 meters with steep walls dropping to depths of 20–25 meters. It is broken up into several sections, with a small canyon on the north side and a long cave at a depth of about 20 meters on the east side. If the current allows, you can circle the entire reef. The entire thila is inhabited by a huge school of blue-striped snappers, so at times you can’t even see the reef for all the fish! Small whitetip sharks, groupers, nudibranchs, and mackerel round out the scene.
