Rasdhoo Madivaru - Rasdhoo Atoll at a glance
The Rasdhoo-Madivaru is one of the most spectacular reef formations in North Ari Atoll. A narrow ridge extends outward from the main reef of the atoll ring, almost like a suspension bridge. Its highest point is at a depth of about 13 meters. On the seaward side, this ridge drops almost vertically to 200 meters, and here you have a good chance of seeing arched-head hammerhead sharks on an early-morning dive! Barracudas, tuna, batfish, and mackerel are also frequently spotted here; closer to the reef in shallower water, whitetip sharks are often seen, and sometimes manta rays at cleaning stations.
