Shaab Nakari
The dive site
Shaab Nakari at a glance
The boat usually anchors in the southern part of the inner reef. The sandy bottom in the inner reef area slopes gently from 15 meters to a depth of over 25 meters.
Only the northwest side of Shaab Nakari is an exciting dive site; the rest of the reef is rather unspectacular. The best way to explore the western part of the reef is to dive slowly at various depths. This relatively small section of the reef consists of a sandy bottom ranging from 15m to 25m deep and beautiful porosite coral formations. There, every kind of yellow fish school the Red Sea has to offer poses for photos: one-spot snappers, sweetlips, bannerfish, red mullets, and butterflyfish.
