Surprise Corner - Noonu Atoll

In less than 10 minutes by boat, you can reach the north side of Kuda-Funafaru. Here, the reef forms a gently sloping drop-off down to a depth of 20 meters. It’s an easy drift dive along the beautifully overgrown coral garden. Here you’ll find large fields of leather corals, enormous table corals, and colorfully encrusted boulders covered with magnificent anemones and feather stars in every color. The reef is also ideal for night dives. The abundance of fish is immense, and you’ll encounter large schools of fusiliers, red snappers, and, time and again, hunting tuna and eagle rays. Several sea turtles have made Surprise Corner their home, so encounters with them are not uncommon. Stingrays can often be spotted on the gently sloping sandy bottom.
