True Fairytale - Noonu Atoll at a glance
Drift diving at its best!
Faru, on the western side of Noonu Atoll, is a 90-minute boat ride away (2-tank dive or full-day excursion).
Here, the reef unfolds in all its colorful splendor, showcasing everything the Maldives has to offer in terms of hard and soft corals. A breathtakingly beautiful wall ranging from 8 to 25 meters in depth, featuring overhangs, canyons, small tunnels, and passages stretching 300 meters, lies before the diver. Even with stronger currents, this dive is suitable for both beginners and experienced divers. Large fan corals grow on the seabed along the entire length of the wall. The overhangs are completely covered with yellow soft corals, yellow nodular corals, black corals, cup corals, and sponges of every color.
The plateau for the ascent, at a depth of 8–5 meters, is covered with beautiful table corals. Batfish, large schools of fusiliers, barracudas, and bannerfish dart about along the reef; in one spot, a large group of oriental sweetlips has gathered. Time and again, we encounter Napoleon fish and large tuna.
