Northern Strait of Tiran

During the summer months of June and July, huge schools of snappers, batfish, short-nosed surgeonfish, barracudas, horse mackerel, masked pufferfish, and more gather at Yolanda and Shark Reef to mate. A unique spectacle that cannot be seen anywhere else in the Red Sea! Thanks to the warm water temperatures, hammerhead sharks can also be spotted regularly on the outer side of Jackson Reef in Tiran, and there’s a very good chance of encountering manta rays and whale sharks!
